the trikes loaded and out the back. i am just putting in a final charge from the mains. everything is currently working how it should, had a minor problem with a loose connection earlier which put me a little on edge. A guy i met through Anne Marie called Ian came over to film the departure, and after lunch he and anne marie had their cameras out as i pretended to wave goodbye and leave, as Anne Marie was on her lunch break and i wasnt quite ready to go, but wanted a photo of me on the trike. it didnt look too impressive as the trike kept cutting out as i tried to ride out the drive. i didnt find it as funny as them and felt slightly anxious and foolish. Two weeks of good testing and instant public failure.
oh well.
seems to be running good again at the moment, now i have fixed the problem. i will just have to see what happens. its miserable outside but i have said my goodbyes and its time to head south for the sun. i will post whenever i can.
I will miss Anne Marie, Quentin,  Bastion and Mamie Lulu and this lovely house. Not so sure i will miss the donkeys though, but i will miss chasing her fat hairy cat Poilette.
I am so grateful for the kindness and support that Anne Marie has given me over the last three months, i have got the trike where I want it and i am nice and fat. shouldnt take to long to burn that off though.
I have become quite comfy here and am slightly apprehensive about going back on the road after such a long break. it is just a little bit of nerves and  i am sure i will soon be back into the swing of things.
I have food for three days, twenty euros in my wallet, half a pack of rollies, a fully charged battery, a fully loaded guitar and the promise of spring in just over 8 weeks.
i have just taken a clip of the trike so you can see how it looks.

So, onwards i go at approximately 4kms per hour into the rain, drizzle and general miser..... not really. i am looking forward to it. there is always something quite exhilirating about riding into the unknown on a new machine that may or may not be up to the job.
lets just see how it pans out

(I was thinking of naming the trike the electric tortoise)
