I crossed the frontier yesterday afternoon and amongst the relentless flow of traffic in Irun i headed toward St Sebatian. I had been riding hard uphill all morning and the weather was overcast and my battery was very low. after pulling over next to an allotment for a couple of hours i headed on the advice of the police to the beach of the towm faria rrabia. this morning the sun has been beaming down and i have been busking. H ave just been invited to lunch by a guy called xabier and it is nearly ready. I also the other day got in touch with lovelo and they are sending me some replacement gears for the trike. They are posting them to the house of a guy called Denis I met the otherday and with a bit of luck he will have recieved them by now and after calling him in a bit to tell him where i am,  we can arrange to meet. Another great guy on this journey.
A massive thanks to all my friends and everybody who has helped me get through France. It took a bit of time and effort but It was worth it.
The only fly in the old ointment is the language thing again. Just as I am starting to speak and understand french I find myself back at almost square one with the old spanish. The problem is compounded here as well as half the people speak the native tongue of basque.(not sure of the spelling yet)
Anyway,
all fun and games at the moment, will upload more clips when i next get chance,
hasta luego

Phillipe couldnt resist taking me to his local church after looking at the new clips. its a bit dark but again fantastic acoustics. looking forward to trying a few more en route.

helooah,
I am in the house of my new french brother Phillipe. He found me the other day fixing the brakes on the flying fox which is the trikes new nickname.
He invited me to his house and proceeded to tow me in his van at high speed 10 km back the way i had come, but it was worth it. very exciting ride although perhaps a little dangerous for my liking however i am still in one piece.
I am also now the proud owner of a didgeridoo and a tambourine , a map of spain and a fully stocked trike.
Now for the test. I am just about to hit the big hills and i will see whether my preperations with the gears and brakes will be good enough for the job.
On another rather sad note there has been some awful news in the family.
Two weeks ago in Ghana, Choo, my aunties husband died.
I hope my Aunty marg is ok. My cousins Simon and Johnathon have flown there and are with her now.
Thoughts are with her.

For my part I am going to ride the coast of spain and portugal  and cross to morroco after that i am no longer certain i will be going all the way to Ghana for obvious reasons.

Below is some footage of my last two weeks

the weather at the mo is not very special today but after i finish here i am heading to the hills.

Big thanks to phillipe and Fabienne for being  fantastic hosts, I have had a really nice time.
